The Natural Grip After Shark Tank

A Crossfit training glove known as The Natural Grip is introduced to the Sharks in the Military Entrepreneurs’ Special episode 608, hosted by Ashley Drake, Captain of the Army Corps of Engineers and entrepreneur.

Drake is seen demonstrating the product alongside CrossFit athlete Danielle Sidell.

The Natural Grip is a protective garment for athletes that lets them grip pull-up bars and weights with a firmer grip without damaging their hands.

The ring finger size is used to determine the fitting size of each grip. The Natural Grip tape is made of cotton tape and zinc oxide that is extremely durable and has a natural stickiness for outdoor use.

They propose taping the grips at the wrists once you have placed them on your hands to keep them from slipping.

You can choose from several different colors of grips so that you can match your hands to the rest of your exercise attire.

You can currently purchase The Natural Grip on Amazon, as well as on the company’s website.

Drake most likely needs Shark’s help to expand his distribution network and fund the production of large orders.

Will the Sharks get a hold of the situation and invest?

What Is The Natural Grip?

The Natural Grip keeps your hands safe since it allows you to maintain a firm grip on your bar while you work out.

You should replace them every 3 – 6 months. The gloves are hypoallergenic and latex-free and are available in different colors.

The Natural Grip is a zinc oxide 100 percent cotton tape instead of leather alternatives. This means there are fewer bulky parts than leather alternatives.

The Natural Grip After Shark Tank

Who Is The Founder Of The Natural Grip?

The Natural Grip was founded in June of 2013 by Ashley Drake in Louisville, Kentucky. Drake appears in the video with CrossFit competitor Danielle Sidell, a product fan.

The Natural Grip serves more as a protective wrap than something to help athletes obtain better grips on pull-up bars or weights.

When creating a new grip, every grip is customized by considering the ring finger size.

The Natural Grip is made from a zinc oxide 100 percent cotton tape with an exceptionally strong natural adhesive.

They suggest taping the grips at the wrist so they won’t slip once they’ve been placed on your hands.

These grips come in numerous colors so that you can match your hands to the rest of your training gear.

Currently, the Natural Grip is only available through the company’s website, which is protected by patent.

According to the manufacturer, professional athletes and those who use the device regularly for their workouts have given the product positive feedback.

You can also use it to teach your children how to catch and toss it. The same characteristics make it an excellent piece of training equipment.

The Natural Grip can help children improve their hand-eye coordination and assist them in becoming more athletically inclined. You can now purchase The Natural Grip on Amazon and the company’s website.

The Natural Grip Before Shark Tank

The founder of Natural Grip, Ashley Drake, has just entered the Shark Tank for the very first time.

As soon as she arrives, she tells the Sharks they must get a grasp of themselves: they must grasp a Natural Grip.

Ashley begins her explanation with this illustration: do you want blood all over your hands after your workout? If you answered yes, Ashley continues.

Although there are other hand-protection items on the market, many of them are made of leather, fabric, or nylon, and most of them do a poor job since they slip off your hands, are bulky, and inhibit your performance in the gym. She believes that her invention has solved this problem.

On the other hand, the Natural Grip does not behave because it is personalized and handcrafted.

The size of your ring finger determines the length of the tape grip, and there is no reusable tape grip on the market, which makes it the only product on the market to make that claim.

How Was The Shark Tank Pitch Of The Natural Grip?

Ashley discusses the company during the first segment while at home with her family.

She informs the Sharks that they must “get a handle on themselves” when entering the Tank with Danielle Sidell.”

Ashley is asking for an investment of $100,000 for a 20 percent stake in The Natural Grip.

She then has Danielle perform several bar muscle-ups on the barbell after demonstrating the grips to the Sharks.

Kevin receives black grips to match his soul color as Ashley distributes samples! The Sharks put the grips to the test, and Robert performs a few pull-ups.

She reveals that she made $178,00 in sales in the previous year. Robert challenges her to tell the difference between her grasp and those of others.

She patented custom-made tape grips that fit the ring finger perfectly. It costs $4.32 to manufacture each grip, but it sells for $17 at retail – a healthy margin!

Lori is disinterested in the company and decides to leave it altogether. Ashley is looking for funding to expand manufacturing. Kevin then leaves the room.

Ashley hopes to increase her revenue to $4 million each year. Mark believes she should concentrate on the Crossfit community, but Robert is opposed.

Robert and Daymond declare that they will wait for Mark to finish, and then there is a commercial break.

The three remaining Sharks are stuck in a deadlock following the break. Mark admires what she’s doing, but he can’t see what’s coming next, so he decides to go.

Robert believes she has strong credibility and gives her $100,000 in exchange for a 30 percent stake. Daymond is offering $100,000 in exchange for 40% of the company.

Robert counters with $125,000 for 25 percent, and Daymond drops to $100,000 for 33 percent, claiming he is superior at manufacturing and can “put Reebok on the box.”

Robert and Daymond are tied for first place. Ashley ultimately decides to accept Robert’s offer!

As a result, Robert and Ashley reached an agreement for $125,000 for a 25 percent stake in The Natural Grip.

Final Result: A deal between Robert Herjavec and Ashley Drake for $125,000 for a 25% stake in The Natural Grip.

What Happened To The Natural Grip After Shark Tank?

Robert was eventually able to establish a relationship with Reebok since a Google search turned up a link to a CrossFit product page for Reebok’s Natural Grips for Unisex, which he utilized.

The Natural Grip was initially targeted at CrossFit markets but has become so popular and widely accepted that it is now distributed in Dick’s sporting goods stores across the country and in smaller boutiques within individual fitness gyms.
